Clear Ball Ornament (plastic or glass)
Heat Set Black Ink (
Fabrico works
great and is easy to find)

White Tissue Paper
Colored Pencils
(not water color)
Interior Gloss Varnish
(water based)
Fine Glitter
Bent Tweezers or Pipe Cleaner
Hanger or Ribbon

Stamp image on tissue paper using Fabrico fabric ink or other heat-set fabric ink.
Heat set with heat gun.

Color with colored pencils (not water color or metalic pencils).
Cut out image as close to the outer edge as possible.

Pour just enough varnish inside the ball to coat it well. Roll ball around until entire
inside surface is covered. Pour out any extra varnish.

For glass balls (or any one piece ball) with a small opening at the top, roll the image around a pencil with the stamped side on the outside. Insert pencil into ball - the image will unroll itself. Use tweezers or the end of a pipe cleaner to move the image around. Be careful not to rip the tissue paper. Make sure the entire paper is making contact with the surface of the ball.

Pour gliter into the ornament. Hold your finger over the opening (if using a glass/one piece ball) and shake well (do not roll!). When the inside is evenly covered, dump out any extra glitter.

Let dry overnight. Add hanger.
