| Instructions: Cut the white confetti cardstock in 4 equal pieces, each 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Ink the vine border with the black pigment stamp pad, then press the stamp down on the left hand side of one piece of the white cardstock leaving a little white on the left as shown. Cover with detail clear embossing powder and heat to a shine with a craft heat gun. Ink the capital letter "I" with the stamp pad, making sure the "I" is completely covered with ink. Stamp it on top of the embossed vine border. Immediately cover with detail clear embossing powder and heat with heat gun. Ink the scripture stamp with black ink, but try not to cover the capital letter "I" on the stamp. If any ink gets on the "I", remove it with a wet tissue or baby wipe, making sure that the letter "a" next to it still has ink on it. Place the stamp very close to the vine, press carefully, then remove the stamp. Cover with detail clear embossing powder and heat until shiny with the heat gun. (Hint: I practice on a piece of scratch paper until I have the spacing and pressure correct before I start stamping on my good paper.)
Color the vine border with markers. Watercolors and chalks can also be used. When it is completely colored, cut the card down until the vine border goes off the top and bottom edge, as shown, to approzimately 4" x 5 1/4". Glue on 1/4 sheet of gold foil, then cut it down until only 3/16" shows all the way around. In turn, glue both sheets on 1/4 sheet of black cardstock, and cut it down so that only 1/8" shows. Cut and fold purple cardstock to make your card. Center the "matted" image on purple cardstock and glue in place. Look through our catalog pages to find a suitable inside greeting! |
