INSTRUCTIONS:
Cut a piece of vellum 4" x 5". Stamp the Crown of Thorns Wreath on the vellum, using black pigment ink. Emboss with clear embossing powder. Color on both front and back of the vellum with the opaque pigment markers so that the color is very solid.
Take one sheet of the red cardstock and fold in half. Draw a rectangle on the front that is 1" from the top and 1" from each side and 4 1/4" high. The opening will be 3 1/2"x 4 1/4". Cut out the rectangle with an X-acto© knife.
Cut the gold-flecked or white cardstock to 5x8" and using adhesive attach it to the "message side" of the inside of the card (on the right, inside). Close the card, ink the crown of thorns stamp with back pigment ink, and stamp the crown through the centered, top portion of the cut out opening onto the cardstock inside. Emboss with clear embossing powder. Color with watercolor markers as desired.
Cut 2 frames out of gold moiré cardstock that are 1/4" wide and with outside dimensions of 3 3/4" x 41/2". Using rubber cement, glue the frame to the outside opening. Using the rubber cement, glue the back vellum to the back of the second frame so that when you are done the back of the vellum shows through the frame. Put rubber cement ONLY on the part of the vellum underneath the frame then attach to the opening of the card so that the embossed image is showing through the opening and both inside and out are framed by a gold moiré frame.
Cut a piece of white or gold-flecked cardstock 1 3/4" x 3 3/4" and a piece of gold moiré cardstock 2 1/4" x 4 1/4". Stamp the verse "Whenever you look at a Christmas wreath" (stamp 1572E) in the center of the red piece you just cut using a black pigment stamp pad and emboss with the detail clear embossing powder. Mount on the gold moiré cardstock and mount on the bottom of the front of the card. On the inside front, stamp the verse (1551J) with black pigment ink and emboss. Stamp the last verse (1571E) with black ink and emboss.
If desired, both 1571E and 1568D can be stamped on the inside.
